I am a Korean artist based in Chicago. I use vibrant colors and brush strokes to express my emotions. I consider myself art in combination of fine art, pop art and Korean cultural art.
5 Questions
1. Since I was a baby, I always imagined the State was a beautiful place. Everyone described the U.S as a place where a dream comes true. My family told me that i could create a new life in the U.S. it might have been deeply rooted idea since Korea was considered to be a 3rd world country at that time.
2. Sometimes i feel like I am stuck between the two countries. Don’t get me wrong. I love both countries. They have their own unique culture and life style. However sometimes I feel stuck. Don’t belong in either.
3. I am a Korean. I was born (created) and raised (programed) in Korea. I get my program updated time to time. Nobody wants me to go back to the factory setting.
4. I am always to willing to learn. I seriously think that I live with the best. My korean culture and free thinking of the State.
5. I want to continue to grow as a person. I want to learn other people’s culture and explore my own as the same time.
