Redcave is inspired by Mexican/Indigenous folk, Ancestry & Symbolism. Through illustrations and surface textures, Redcave is in tune with creating bold expressions that showcase the life of the artist, his thoughts, and the outside world.

1.) The driving reason my family came to the US was for a new beginning, into a world they aspired to be in but not only benefiting themselves, but also helping their families left behind. My parents were selfless and wise to make a change for themselves and their future outcomes.

2.) Because of my parents’ sacrificing and risking their lives to come to a foreign world they only dreamt of, I want to succeed in keeping them proud of what I have accomplished with my work and therefore showcase a little bit of my family’s stories.

3.) My relationship to home signifies peace and tranquility when I come back to my cultural roots. It makes me appreciate the land and the values my parents grew up with.

4.) I had the opportunity to grow up in an environment where my cultural roots and my modern life cross all the time. I fortunately know what it is like to grow up between two worlds that are

very different and very much similar to one another, but that also challenges me in a way when it comes to translation barriers, for instance, but I oversee it as a learning moment.

5.) My hope is centered around God, my faith, my family, & my artistic vision. It is what fuels me in a way where I can be creative and have motivation within myself to share, and hopefully my work translates curiosity and cultural reflections that can help inspire others in different ways.
