5 Questions:
1. My family’s reason for moving here was for me to receive better education and Opportunities.
2. We have had family members being detained by ICE and being deported back to Indonesia. With the ongoing incidents, a lot of them are scared.
3. I used to play outside without fearing for anything. That has changed a lot in the course of my life, especially since coming to America. A lot of us, me included, are sometimes fearful of going outside due to ICE’s presence.
4. I feel it the strongest whenever I’m around people that are similar like me. People who are also immigrants.
5. My hope is centered around community. I dream someday that I can build a community based place where people can feel safe to express their artistic side.

Bio | Art Statement
PEAUXLINE is an immigrant from Southeast Asia who came to the United States in search of better education and overall quality of life. Her Art provokes storytelling through striking visuals. She’s always advocating immigrants’ rights and the abolishment of ICE.
