Freedom, Liberty & Justice For All, c. 2025, Acrylic painting.
5 Questions:
1. I immigrated to the United States when I was 13 years old. At that point was when I practically met my parents since they left me in Perú at the age of 5 in search for the American dream.
2. I love my parents and all my family since we all have experienced similar situations when trying to come to the US. We are until this day in a never ending search for one another even though we all are together now.
3. I feel very connected to my culture, I knew I was an artist from an early age. Nowadays all of my artwork reflects my culture and that is my bigger purpose in life. I want people to discover my country/culture through my paintings.
4. I feel it everyday, which is why I paint everyday. My roots are a part of me, I indulge in my visions of my life in Perú and my journey into the U.S.
5. I’m building an extension of myself by painting this visions of my life and I will continue to do that until the day I leave the physical world.

Bio | Art Statement
Every piece I create tells a unique and interesting story that draws from my experiences growing up in Perú.
I love to deconstruct the views of our everyday world as this is the way my eyes interpret life. I allow color, texture, value and contrast to interweave harmoniously to establish a feeling and stimulate your senses. Highly textured pieces fill a void in many of us, so I give sensory stimulation a forefront as I want my work to be touched if the viewer has the need to do so.
My work reflects my feelings at that moment of creation. I allow those feelings to overtake me when creating a piece, and they dictate my choices throughout the process. It is my intention that every piece I create, helps you to see and/or feel how beautiful and complex life is.
